Full remote delivery, building technical and creative skills.

In this *free Employment and Develop course, we can help you to develop your creative skills through different mediums, including building your understanding of the importance of health and safety in practical environments.

What will you be doing on this course?

Following a tailor designed course, you will be guided through how to:
1: Identify hazards and risks in a practical environment and how to minimise these to keep yourself and others around you safe from injury.
2: Use a computer software programme, called Inkscape, to develop computer drawing skills through a mathematical view point.
3: Learn how to create your own computer aided designs (CAD), using own images and images found from the internet.
4: Take on your own upcycling project, using household items, changing their function and turning them into something new.

How long is the course?

As everyone learns at different speeds, the course is always delivered at your pace.
Presentations will be made available to you to look over at your own convenience with a mixture of group video calls and individual calls to give you any extra help and support you may need.

Who is it aimed at?

Training group sizes are kept to a maximum of 8 participants to make sure everyone gets enough 1-2-1 support from the tutor if they want it.
Anyone 16 years and over is able to register onto the course, enrollment sessions will be arranged to complete registration paperwork prior to the course beginning.

What Qualification will I gain from it?

This qualification is governed by Open College Network West Midlands. On completion of all activities and your online learning assessment portfolio, you will be awarded a Level 1 Award in Employment and Development.

Are there any entry requirements?

Participants do not need any previous experience to come onto the course. It is suitable for complete beginners to those looking to further their current skills.
