This term, we are working with FabLab Coventry to offer free costume and woodwork workshops, to create set and costumes for our Lights Up! Project performance at the Belgrade Theatre, in February 2024.
The workshops will take place at FabLab’s ‘Eco Furniture Factory’ in Fargo Village, where you will learn new skills with professional instructors and equipment. FabLab offer an informal, welcoming environment that is open to all, and you can drop-in to the sessions that suit you!
FabLab will provide participants with aprons, safety googles, and all the support you need – but there’s a few things to check before you drop in:
- Clothing and Jewellery: Try not to wear anything too loose/dangly that could get caught in machines. Creative workshops can get dusty so try to wear something that you wouldn’t mind getting a little dust on.
- Footwear: Wear shoes that are comfortable for you – but please avoid shoes that leave your toes exposed.
- Hair: If you have long hair, it might be useful to tie this back if you can.
