What will you be doing on this workshop?
Following a tailor designed workshop, you will be guided through how to:
1: Use an online 3D modelling package called TinkerCAD to begin to learn how to create your own three dimensional (3D) computer aided designs
2: Learn how to navigate around the workspace to see your object from different view points
3: Learn how to create shapes and combine shapes to create a solid 3D model.
How long is the workshop?
As everyone learns at different speeds, the workshop is always delivered at your pace. At a minimum of 3 hours.
The workshop is generally ran 10am – 1pm of given days, but if you want to stay longer or return for future sessions, you are more than welcome to do so!
Who is it aimed at?
Training group sizes are kept to a maximum of 8 participants to make sure everyone gets enough 1-2-1 support from the tutor if they want it.
Anyone 16 years and old is able to register onto the course, enrollment sessions will be arranged to complete registration paperwork prior to the course beginning.
Are there any entry requirements?
Participants do not need any previous experience to come onto the workshop. This level is suitable for complete beginners who have no previous experience of any computer aid design.
The only thing this is a benefit to participants is that they know how to navigate a computer and use a mouse correctly. This will help with learning the commands and moving around the package using different tools.
If you do not have basic computer skills, you may benefit from our basic IT sessions prior to completing the workshop.
