As we find ourselves back into lockdown, don’t let this stop you from learning some new skills. Kick start the new year with us by joining our online learning sessions covering different areas of Digital Fabrication, Upcycling, carpentry and DIY.

Whilst we would love to be able to teach face-to-face and let you get hands on with our equipment, we’ve put together online sessions covering different elements to give you a head start or just a general chit-chat to catch up, all from the comfort of your own home!

Along with some of our tried and tested favourites, we have some new sessions to add into the mix!
Kev’s corner: Kev’s corner is a live information session to give you tips and tricks straight from the trade. Helping to support you to learn new practical skills in carpentry, painting and decorating and DIY; learning what tools are best for what jobs and getting the most out of your tools; and answering your questions. Sessions are ran around you and your needs, with specific questions on different topic areas welcomed. Although sessions are scheduled for 1 hour, you can always request a 1-2-1 with Kevin, our eco furniture factory technical skills instructor, afterwards if you want more support.
Virtual Repair Café: Repair Cafés offer you the ability to learn how to fix toys or furniture that have broken or are in need of repair. Usually these are ran in person, however we are now launching a virtual repair café where we will provide live video support to find out the problem with your item and support you through making the repair yourself. The session will be live online between 10am-4pm on timetabled days. You can drop in with your item for repair at any time during these times, you do not need to stay on for the whole session, just long enough to get your item repaired. The team will great you and ask a few questions about your item. These questions will help us to match you with one of our Fab team for them to support you in your repair journey. Once matched with our team, they will work with you to try to repair your item. Whilst we can’t guarantee that we can help to fix everything, we will do our best to support you to try and get your item back in working order.

Sessions will be ran using Zoom. To download please follow this link: https://zoom.us/download
Individual session links will be sent to you via email following registration.

A full timetable of activity can be found below, with times and dates of when the sessions are running.
